CORRECTION: In section 3 of the report, on page 9, we provide a snapshot of the poverty in Nigeria compared with Bangladesh, on the basis of World Bank Data Profiles for both countries. One of the statements we make is that "[a] Nigerian mother is less likely to be attended by skilled health staff at the birth of her child than a Bangladeshi mother." This is not correct. The Profiles indicate that in 2003, 35% of births were attended by skilled health staff in Nigeria, and 14% of births in Bangladesh. We apologise for this misinterpretation of the Profiles. The web version of the report has been corrected.
