Court dismisses California's case and California appeals decision

In September, 2007, federal judge Judge Martin J. Jenkins dismissed California's case. California's Attorney General explains the judge dismissed the case "[i]nvoking what is known as the 'political question' doctrine . . . agreeing with the defendants that it is for Congress and the President, not the courts, to address the injuries that California and other states experience from global warming. . . . We have appealed the District Court's decision in the auto case to the Ninth Circuit." http://ag.ca.gov/globalwarming/litigation.php
